Eine deutsch-deutsche Liebesgeschichte in den Zeiten, als die Mauer noch stand: so etwas überhaupt in der Zeit der 80iger Jahre zu wagen... Das Kleine Fernsehspiel des ZDF war für diese verrückte Geschichte genau richtig und mit dem dramaturgischen Rollenmodell der Zwillinge - die Biografien der beiden Schwestern stehen allegorisch für die Geschichte der beiden deutschen Staaten - wurde auch noch der Weg für viele weitere Filme über die zwei deutschen Staaten bis heute gelegt: über Schulz & Schulz (1989-1993), da sind es Brüder und Götz George in der Doppelrolle, bis zur Serie Der Palast.
Als einen Genre-Vorreiter gab es "Der geteilte Himmel" von Christa Wolf in der Regie von Konrad Wolf aus 1963/64: wie kann man eine Liebesgeschichte im geteilten Deutschland zwanzig Jahre später, 1984, erzählen - ohne verklärte Romantik und ohne Zynismus?
Die Geschichte einer Freundschaft von Anne (Berlin-Ost) und Marie (Berlin-West). Dank ihrer äußeren Ähnlichkeit sind Grenze und Mauer kein Hindernis für sie. Beide gehen auf eine Zeitreise: sie wechseln ihre Kleidung, ihre Partner, ihre Arbeit, ihre Staatsoberhäupter und ein wenig ihre Sprache. Anne träumt von neuen Möglichkeiten im Westen und ihrer Liebe zur Musik. Sie stößt dort auf die Musikszene sowie Maries Freund Pascal, der sein Leben als Sänger in Nachtclubs fristet... Marie war schon lange an ihre Grenzen gestoßen und ergreift nach dem Seitenwechsel die Chance, als Schauspielerin auf der Betriebsbühne des VEB Damob „Frieda Hockauf“ den „Urfaust“ zu inszenieren. Nach einiger Zeit flieht Anne vor den widrigen Zuständen zurück gen Osten. Doch Marie hat sich eingerichtet: auf der Bühne, in Annes Wohnung und mit dem Kulissenmaler Mars, der auf seinem Flachdach nicht nur malt. Zusammen können sie an diesem Ort nicht bleiben, doch das Ende wird sie alle überraschen.

In the winter of the pandemic lockdown 2020, we started the remote collaboration with film and sound design students from Mainz, Germany and Amman, Jordan. Nearly everyone was stuck in their private spaces.
Studios and universities were closed.
This is a behind the scenes look at very different film and sound projects.
How does one build international teams through telemedia?
How does one direct films under these conditions?
How does one develop an online concert?
